The Immigration Department in the Central Region has deported a Chinese national, Shihe, 65 after serving a custodial sentence for involvement in wildlife and firearm related offences.
Regional Immigration spokesperson, Pasqually Zulu, has told local media that the Lilongwe Magistrate Court convicted the deportee on July 20, 2020 and he served his sentence at Maula Prison in Lilongwe.
Shihe was deported on Wednesday through Kamuzu International Airport by investigation and compliance team from the Central Regional Immigration Office.
Meanwhile, the immigration authorities have also apprehended three Indian nationals for violating thier permit status.
